Red Bull have responded to Zak Brown's letter to the FIA president about team independence. "We all want 11 teams racing independently of each other on the track, and as a sport we have already taken many steps to ensure increasing independence for each team on the grid," team principal Laurent Mekies said. "If stakeholders, whether other teams or external parties, feel that additional steps are needed to strengthen that independence, then we would support that. We don't think this is necessarily about ownership or strategic partnerships.
